Occupations at Risk for Asbestos Exposure
The following is a list of trades or job occupations most commonly associated with asbestos exposure. Workers did not always know they were being exposed to asbestos, and the true dangers of exposure were not disclosed to the majority of the public prior to the formation of OSH Act in the early 1970’s. Additionally, if a loved one or a household member worked in one of the occupations listed below, you may have experienced second-hand exposure to asbestos.
