Our client was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 7. For 20 years, he repaired and constructed equipment such as open hearth furnances, basic oxygen ovens and coke ovens at the Bethlehem Steel Lackawanna plant. Our client's exposure can be directly related to asbestos insulation that lined the furnaces and covered the pipes located in various units throughout the plant. In addition, our client worked in the area where asbestos insulation was applied and subsequently removed. Exposure to asbestos was attributed to our client's lung cancer.
