If I am not satisfied with the results of my treatment, do I have a medical malpractice case?

In general, there are no guarantees of medical results. An unexpected or unsuccessful result does not necessarily mean negligence occurred. To succeed in a medical malpractice case, a plaintiff has to prove an injury that resulted from the doctor's deviation from the standard of care in the community. Your doctor must have done something other doctors would not do under the same or similar circumstances or must have failed to do something other doctors would normally do.
