Nan L. Haynes was an associate and then a partner at Lipsitz & Ponterio, LLC from 1996 until 2002 when she left to join the faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.  Ms. Haynes currently serves as Of Counsel to the Firm.

While a partner at Lipsitz & Ponterio, Ms. Haynes represented clients in asbestos and lead exposure claims, motor vehicle accidents and premised liability claims. She was also one of three attorneys that represented the plaintiffs in a class action to vindicate constitutional rights of pretrial detainees held at the Erie County Holding Center.
Ms. Haynes teaches first year law students legal research and writing skills at State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. She also continues to be interested in conditions at the Erie County Holding Center and occasionally represents detainees who were denied their constitutional rights while detained there.
